SOLUTE attends this trade fair on industrial process automation and optimization for the first time.

This year, Fira de Barcelona hosted the eighth edition of Advanced Factories, with over 560 exhibiting companies and more than 27,000 industry professionals in attendance. These numbers make it the benchmark event for industrial innovation applied to a wide variety of sectors: packaging and logistics, automotive, metallurgy, electronics, etc.

Many companies showcased their services oriented to the automation of industrial processes in fields such as robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality, automatic mobility, etc. Additionally, it is important to highlight the prominence of Artificial Intelligence in this edition. The recent development of such solutions, like artificial vision or collaborative robots (cobots), has been tremendously useful for the modernization of this sector.

SOLUTE has always been distinguished by its multidisciplinary character, as we have consistently been willing to invest time and effort in exploring new sectors, areas, and disciplines to continue growing and positioning ourselves as a leading engineering consultancy at the national level. Therefore, this year, we saw a great opportunity in attending Advanced Factories for the first time.

Attending this event allowed us to get to know new learnings, services, and technologies of the industrial sector that we were previously unaware of, in addition to exploring commercial opportunities with leading companies in this field.

Moreover, we had the chance to showcase our virtual reality services, applicable to the digitization and automation of these types of industrial processes. Specifically, our digital twin solutions and procedure virtualization focused on optimizing training processes have already helped some companies in this sector to streamline and modernize their services and operations.

Furthermore, we were able to share insights and explore collaborations with robotics companies offering services similar to ours. The inspection robots applied to the wind sector offered by TSR Wind, our division of robotics and O&M, use artificial vision technologies to automatically detect and categorize defects in a structure through their external, internal, and welding inspections.

Undoubtedly, attending this trade fair has been a highly useful and fruitful experience for SOLUTE, allowing us to make a name for ourselves in a field with great potential and much room for innovation, one of our core values.
